Mailings from the physics archive

Submissions to the new physics archive and the reorganized cond-mat archive now include Subj-class: headings . It is possible to receive mailings of the individual subjects without subscribing to the whole archive (in fact, for subject classes of the physics archive, this is the only way). No matter how many subject classes you subscribe to, all the abstracts on a given day will be mailed to you in a single message.

To subscribe to additional subject classes, or delete existing subscriptions, send a message to physics@xxx.lanl.gov with 'subscribe' in the subject line and containing 'add' or 'del' commands in the body of the message. For example:

         To: physics@xxx.lanl.gov
         Subject: subscribe Your Name

         add Biophysics
         del Plasma Physics

The subject classes can be abbreviated (provided they remain unique).

If you are currently subscribed to the cond-mat archive and wish to receive only a mailing with certain subject classes, first cancel your current subscription by sending mail to cond-mat@xxx.lanl.gov with 'cancel' in the subject line. Then send mail to physics@xxx.lanl.gov as above to start your new subscription. If you are currently subscribed to supr-con or mtrl-th, your physics subscription will be started automatically.

The archives acc-phys, ao-sci, atom-ph, chem-ph and plasm-ph have all been subsumed into the physics archive with corresponding subject classes. If you are currently subscribed to any of these mailing lists, you will automatically be subscribed to the physics mailing list with the appropriate subject.

The valid subject classes are listed below. Notice that all archives (e.g. hep-th, astro-ph) allow subscriptions in this manner, as well as the subject classes in the physics and cond-mat archives.
