Title: Strong Correlations at Oxide Interfaces: What is Hidden in a Plane View?

Abstract: A prime goal for this lecture is to provide a reader with a reasonably self-sufficient answer to the question of what interesting effects can happen if you join two dissimilar materials with correlated carriers to construct a sandwich with the interface across those layers. Through the lens of physical phenomena, we will delve into the design ideas that lead to the creation of new synthetic quantum materials with properties primarily governed by the interface.
